What is the one saying that your parents said to you that you absolutely hate?

"Do one thing at a time"
I hated that.
I used to read while eating, doodle while studying, listen to music while coding(during engineering days) and basically multi-task. A pity my parents never quite grasped the concept :)
Do you believe there is intelligent life on other planets?
There is hardly any intelligent life on this planet..can't expect much from other planets.
On second thoughts, if there is life elsewhere, and it is intelligent...then I am sure they focus cameras on our planet and teach their little alien children 'how not to live' using our example.
What, to you, is the first sign of spring? Have you seen it yet?

Spring is very fleeting here. Winter seems to meld almost directly into summer. You get up one morning and realise that you will not be needing your sweaters and shawls anymore. Out come the linen pants, the tank tops and cotton salwar khameez.
First sign of spring? Flowers in my garden, from the bulbs my grandma planted so lovingly.

What was the one toy you wanted as a kid that your parents never bought you?

I had always wanted one of those My Little Ponies, the white one with pink hearts on it. I think it was called Snuzzle. I wanted it because of this animated series on Doordarshan every Sunday where they showed adventures of these Ponies. However, my parents did not really approve of buying one for me since I just recently had got a Barbie.
When my aunt from America was visiting us, she bought a Pony for me, which was alas pink with white dots on its rump and not the white fairy Pony I had wanted:).. I hated pink then(and even now) but since my aunt had bought it for me, I adopted it as my own..I just re-found-out it was called Cotton Candy.
1]Don't stop.
Keep writing:)
Pick up a few blank sheets of paper, start doodling, writing, about things around you, whats going on in your head what Pammi Aunty said to your Mother about her son's wedding...whatever comes into your mind.
2] Go to some nice peaceful place, make up plays in your head.
3] Pretend you are someone else, glamorous, adventurous, more interesting.
4] Eat chocolate.
5] Put on some music and dance, go running, climbing, outdoors...
6] Do your next favourite thing to writing, reading, painting, drawing, watching TV.
7] Do something you would never ordinarily do...clean the house, cook, do laundry.
